4x100g testtool blog

With new products boasting higher bandwidth forever on the horizon, generating realistic test data is becoming as much of challenge as creating the products. During the development of our 4x100G Flowprobe a 4x100G packet test tool was created. This tool will help save rack space and reduce the complexity of any product test environment.

Controlled with its web interface the test tool currently supports the below features:

  • Pcap play
  • Replay pcap's at accelerated rate.
  • Duplicate flow information giving the illusion of millions of unique flows.
  • Simulate cyber-attacks.
  • 100G Mac status
  • Reports all of the MAC link information so you can ensure the links is stable.
  • Rx stats
  • Shows packet profiles being received.
  • Displays current and max data rates.
  • Pcap record
  • Can record snapshots of line rate traffic from all 4 ports simultaneously for link analyses.
  • Multi user support
  • Each port can be used individually

More detailed information on each feature to follow in future blogs.
