Here at Telesoft our latest line of products, such as the 4x100G IP Flow Probe, perform at such high rate there aren’t many options when it comes to test equipment; so we made our own.

The Triton 4x100G Autocannon is our custom made test platform for fully loading our highest rate products.

Inside the Stratix 10 FPGA, PCAPs can be loaded into memory then manipulated as they are played out of the 4x100G ports. The speed of playback can be controlled, either as a fixed rate or random between a minimum and a maximum rate. The PCAPs can be looped a number of times, and we can independently manipulate the source and/or destination IP addresses for all packet types to model a high number of unique flows or even a DDoS attack. IP header and UDP checksums are also corrected on the fly at line rate.

Every port can have 2 PCAPs, each independently controlled allowing us to model high rate traffic and multiplex in a variety of DDoS attacks, which we can ramp up and down over time to simulate a real-life attack. This powerful test equipment gives us the capability to thoroughly test all of our 4x100G products in a controlled environment so we can cross-validate test results and ensure we’re delivering the highest possible quality.
