The Milborne is a high performance, scalable SMS Gateway server. It allows developers to implement high-capacity SMS gateway solutions, using the standardized SMPP interface, while connecting to the network via SS7 or SIGTRAN. The Milborne SMS gateway supports up to 100 simultaneous applications, enabling multiple services to be offered in parallel. Each service is independent, allowing SMS aggregation services to be supported.

The Milborne can also support USSD gateway applications, enabling developers to implement a range of real-time services. USSD gateways are an essential element of many mobile money, location and pre-paid callback services.
