The MPAC PSTN/IP Monitoring and Recording Board enables high-density signal monitoring and media recording in TDM networks.

The board enables development of highly scalable applications from 4 E1s up to STM/OC-3.
High-density SS7 monitoring is supported on the TDM interfaces with up to 512 duplex links. The signaling data links can be processed locally or be transported over IP. Also supported on all TDM channels are multiple event detection algorithms, including DTMF, VAD, MF tones and 3G-324M video calls.
Call content (audio or video) can be recorded and stored locally or switched out over the IP interface to remote recording devices. The board supports two transport technologies, RTP and CESoPSN.
CESoPSN is a derivative of RTP, which has additional support for the transport of multiple G.711 channels in a signle IP packet, reducing IP network bandwidth requirements.
