Atlanta, USA, 12 June 2009 – Telesoft Technologies, a leading provider of carrier-grade next-generation IVR systems, today announced the availability of the OKEFORD 1500 Announcement Server, a seamless replacement for the Cognitronics’ McIAS and CX Series Announcement Servers. For communication service providers and application developers familiar with Cognitronics’ announcement servers, the OKEFORD provides an attractive and low-risk TDM network announcement solution.
Unique to Telesoft Technololgies, the OKEFORD 1500 Announcement Server incorporates the highly reliable Expanded Announcement Software Module (EASM), widely deployed for over 25 years on Cognitronics hardware. Since functionality and maintenance interfaces on the OKEFORD are identical to the Cognitronics solution, network operations personnel quickly adopt the new system without costly retraining.
Subscribers are reassured with the same pre-recorded vocabularies and user interfaces whether it is an OKEFORD or Cognitronics Announcement Server, something no other media server vendor can offer. This identical customer experience allows for transparent upgrades and capacity expansion programmes by network operators as required and avoids service disruption for users.
The OKEFORD 1500 Announcement Server shares the same carrier-class hardware platform as Telesoft Technologies’ widely deployed OKEFORD 1500 Media Platform offering a migration path from a legacy TDM announcement server to a fully-fledged, next-generation media platform for Next Generation Networks (NGN) such as IMS (IP multi-media subsystem) MRF/MRFP. The media platform upgrade provides operators access to technologies such as SIP, VoiceXML and CCXML and future proofs the return on investment (ROI).
