Management Team

Our multi-disciplined management team ensures that Telesoft Technologies continues to deliver innovative products using the latest technology to meet our customers' global needs for today and tomorrow.

Robert Downham – Executive Chairman

Robert Downham is a successful maths graduate and entrepreneur with extensive experience of technology solutions for the telecommunications industry. He founded Telesoft in 1989 after recognizing the telecommunications industry's need for low-cost solutions based on PC technology to meet the highly competitive demands of a rapidly de-regulating market. The resulting creation of computer telephony interface cards and low-cost PC-based telecommunications solutions were amongst the first in the industry allowing the rapid expansion of telecommunications services for users.

Serving as the company's chairman since its foundation, he has always worked closely with the R&D division to ensure rapid execution of next-generation technology allowing Telesoft Technologies to compete in the future. For over 20 years he has overseen expansion of the company, creating media, signaling and monitoring platforms for both the commercial and homeland security sectors. Prior to the establishment of Telesoft, Rob held a number of senior engineering management positions within the telecommunications sector. He is based at Telesoft Technologies' global headquarters in Dorset, United Kingdom.
